1. Who we are

PraxiBridge is a product of Beemal Innovation Ltd. When we say "we", "us", "our" or "PraxiBridge" in this policy, we mean Beemal Innovation Ltd, the data controller for the personal data described here. Registered in England and Wales. Company registration number: 17048693. Registered address: 29 Arden Place, Luton, LU2 7YE.

Contact us about anything in this policy at admin@beemalinnovation.co.uk.

2. What PraxiBridge is

PraxiBridge is a study companion for students, starting with healthcare students and professionals. It helps you link what you study to what you see in practice. It is an educational tool only. It is not a medical device, does not give medical advice and must not be used for clinical decisions or patient care.

You must not enter anything that could identify a patient. Write cases as anonymised educational scenarios. Entering patient-identifiable information breaks our Terms of Service.

3. What we collect

  • Account data: your email address, password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider) and the profile details you choose to add, such as your name and learning stage.
  • Content you add: courses, topics, uploaded study materials (for example PDFs and slides), lecture recordings and their transcripts, anonymised clinical case notes, highlights, notes, quiz and practice answers, and your learning progress.
  • Technical data: the minimum our hosting providers log to run and secure the service, such as IP address, browser type and error logs.
  • Usage data, only if you opt in: which pages you open and which learning steps you complete (for example “quiz finished”), and screen recordings of how you move through the app with all text and inputs hidden and images blocked. Recordings are never made on case or assignment pages. This is linked to your account by a random ID, never your email or name. You can opt in or out at any time in Profile.

We do not use advertising or tracking tools, and we do not build a profile of you for marketing. We do not intend to collect special category data (such as health data) and ask you not to enter any.

4. Why we use it and our legal basis

  • To provide the service (contract): creating your account, storing your content, turning your materials into study tools, giving AI feedback, and tracking your progress.
  • To keep the service secure and working (legitimate interests): preventing abuse, fixing errors and protecting your account.
  • To contact you about your account (contract): sign-up confirmation, password resets and important changes to the service or these policies.

We do not send marketing emails. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

5. AI processing

Several features send the content you choose to use with them to AI providers so they can return a result: for example the text of a paper you upload, your answer to a question, or a lecture recording for transcription. We send only what the feature needs.

  • OpenAI: explanations, quizzes, flashcards, marking and feedback, the tutor, paper appraisal practice, theory and practice link suggestions, lecture transcription and image generation.
  • OpenRouter: converting uploaded PDFs into readable text. OpenRouter passes the file to a document-processing provider (Cloudflare Workers AI or Mistral) to do this.

These providers process the data to return the result. Under their API terms they do not use it to train their models by default, but they may keep it for a limited period (OpenAI: up to 30 days) to detect abuse. We cannot delete data from their logs, which is another reason never to include patient details.

6. Who we share data with

We use these service providers (processors). They may only use your data to provide their service to us:

  • Supabase: database, sign-in, file storage and server functions.
  • Vercel: hosting for the website.
  • PostHog (EU hosting): usage analytics and masked screen recordings, only for people who opt in.
  • OpenAI and OpenRouter (with Cloudflare or Mistral): AI features, as described in section 5.
  • YouTube: if you add a YouTube video to a lecture, it plays from YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube receives data only when you play the video.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.

7. International transfers

Some providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified) or the ICO's International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. Contact us for details.

8. How long we keep it

  • While your account is open: we keep your account and content so the service works. You can delete individual items at any time.
  • When you delete your account: your account, content and uploaded files are deleted straight away. Copies in our hosting provider's routine backups are overwritten on their normal backup cycle.
  • Technical logs: kept by our hosting providers for their standard periods, typically days to weeks.

9. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. You can delete your account yourself from your profile. For anything else, email admin@beemalinnovation.co.uk. We reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

10. Cookies and storage on your device

We use only strictly necessary cookies: the ones that keep you signed in. We also store a few preferences in your browser (such as reader text size and whether example cards are shown). If you opt in to sharing usage data, PostHog stores an analytics cookie and local storage entry to tell your visits apart. Without your opt-in, no analytics cookie is set. We never use advertising cookies.

11. Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Database rules restrict your content to your account, and the files you upload are stored privately and opened through short-lived links. AI-generated illustrations are stored at long, hard-to-guess web addresses. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

12. Children

PraxiBridge is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

13. Changes to this policy

If we make important changes we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

1. About these terms

PraxiBridge (the "service") is a product of Beemal Innovation Ltd. When we say "we", "us", "our" or "PraxiBridge" in these terms, we mean Beemal Innovation Ltd. Registered in England and Wales. Company registration number: 17048693. Registered address: 29 Arden Place, Luton, LU2 7YE. These terms are an agreement between you and us. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

We may update these terms. We will tell you about important changes by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.

2. PraxiBridge is not a medical device

PraxiBridge is an educational tool. It is not a medical device, does not give medical advice and must not be used for diagnosis, treatment or any clinical decision. AI-generated content may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Always follow your training, local policy and the people supervising you. You remain responsible for your clinical decisions.

3. No patient data

You must not enter anything that could identify a patient, such as names, NHS numbers, dates of birth, addresses, rare details or dates that together could identify someone. Write cases as anonymised educational scenarios. If you enter patient-identifiable information you are responsible for that breach, and we may remove the content or suspend your account.

4. Who can use PraxiBridge

You must be at least 18. The service is designed for students, and its clinical features for healthcare students and professionals. If you are not one, do not rely on its clinical content for any health decision.

5. Your account

Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it. You can delete your account at any time from your profile, which deletes your content as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. What you upload

Your notes, cases, answers and uploads stay yours. You give us a licence to store and process them only to provide the service to you, including sending them to our AI providers when you use an AI feature.

You must only upload material you have the right to use. In particular:

  • Papers, slides and other documents must be ones you are allowed to use for your own study.
  • Only record or upload a lecture if the lecturer and your institution allow it.
  • Do not upload anything unlawful, or anything that identifies a patient.

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the service unlawfully or to harm others;
  • try to break, overload or get around the security of the service;
  • copy, scrape or reverse engineer the service, or access it with bots;
  • use the AI features to create harmful, abusive or illegal content;
  • share your account, or use the service to write work you submit as your own where your institution does not allow AI help.

8. AI features

AI features use third-party providers (see our Privacy Policy). Their output can be wrong, so check it before you rely on it. PraxiBridge is designed to help you learn, not to do your coursework for you. Follow your institution's rules on AI and academic integrity.

9. Our content

The service, its design, code, branding and the content we provide belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own learning while you use the service, but not copy or redistribute them.

10. Price

The service is currently free. If we introduce paid plans, we will explain the price and terms clearly before you are asked to pay, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.

11. Availability and changes

We work to keep PraxiBridge running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, pause or stop features. If we plan to close the service we will give you reasonable notice so you can save your work.

12. Our liability to you

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Otherwise, the service is provided free and for education only, and we are not liable for losses caused by relying on its content for clinical or professional decisions, or for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. If you use the service for business purposes, we are not liable for loss of profit, business or opportunity.

13. Suspension and ending

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, especially sections 3, 6 and 7. Where reasonable we will warn you first. You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. Please contact us first at admin@beemalinnovation.co.uk so we can try to sort things out.
